Jonathan Camacho
Born in Colombia, but raised in Dallas, TX, Jonathan Camacho is a self-taught musician, learning piano at age 8, then moving to trumpet, guitar, bass, percussion and drums.  He studied vocal performance and music theory which continued through his university education at the University of North Texas, from which he holds a Bachelors of Arts in Music Composition, studying under Joseph Klein, Jay Walls, among others.  He has also studied Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music under Jose Aponte, as well as various world music cultures during his time at UNT.

Jonathan has had the opportunity to perform with the University of North Texas Choirs, UNT Brazilian Percussion Ensemble, Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra and has performed at The Meyerson Symphony Center, The Charles W. Eisemann Center, Murchison Performing Arts Center, among others.

Jonathan has been highly active in non-"classical" genres, currently producing as a part of C-Factory Productions, a music production company focusing on multi-genre productions, which he founded alongside Christian Chavarria and Oscar Camacho Jr. He has played, arranged and produced for Latin/Jazz/Funk bands, various Spanish and English Praise and Worship projects, and various projects both local, regional, national and abroad (Denmark, France, Spain, New York, Los Angeles, Houston).
In 2012 Jonathan worked with Producer Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Fray) at Sunset Studios (The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones) in Los Angeles with Rock/Pop band RoomFour on their latest EP which he helped write and arrange for, most notably in the track "Telling Me So" which feature string arrangements written by Jonathan. This continues the collaboration between Jonathan and RoomFour after having produced and mixed RoomFour's "Let's Get Lost Tonight" album. In the Dallas area he has also produced and songwritten for other artists such as SEG Artists Bethany LaPrade (Country), Abram Dean (Pop) and C-Factory Projects such as Josephine Grace (British R&B/Pop Artist),Lauren DePaula (Pop/R&B) and more as well as his own band, Intake, a Modern Rock act for which he is the main songwriter/producer and plays guitar/vocals/piano. Intake's debut album, "Moments + Definition" has received radio airplay on 102.1 The Edge, and 88.1 KNTU and was reviewed positively in the Dallas Observer, with local radio DJ Mark Schectman saying its "a record that's interesting, promising and ambitious."  Jonathan has also put on the producer hat for various Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Rock and Pop projects for other Septien Master Artists as well as collaborating with producers such as Flaco DaGreat,Remington Rafael, and even Sir Earl Toon (formerly of Kool & The Gang).

Jonathan has multiple television and event appearances with different artists such as Sir Earl Toon on the show "Good Day" On Fox Channel 4, Colton Jacobson on Fox Channel 4 and NAMM 2013.  


Other projects include production on dance mixes for the Dallas Mavericks Dancers and High School National Cheerleading Squads.  Much of his production and engineer skills come from his time interning at Future Audio Studios (Future Audio Studios has worked with Kirk Franklin, T.D. Jakes, Vanilla Ice, Destiny's Child) under Gerard Hairston. 

Jonathan also currently works as a piano/guitar/songwriting/vocal teacher/producer at Septien Entertainment, under the highly sought after vocal coach, Linda Septien, who has trained people such as Jessica Simpson, Ryan Cabrera, Beyonce, Demi Lovato, and various other stars.
